11 Tips to Make Your Excel Spreadsheets Look Insanely Good

You won’t become a master of Excel in a day, but if you give me 5 minutes, I’ll show you how to make people think you are.
The purpose of a spreadsheet is to make sense of data and display it as clearly as possible. Hard-to-look-at, poorly formatted spreadsheets don’t do this and make you look like a novice.
Do these 11 super simple things, and every spreadsheet you make will look amazing.
Note: I use the word “Excel” in this article, but these tips apply to any spreadsheet program such as Google Sheets or Numbers.
#1 Correct Your Alignment
Resist the urge to center text in cells. This is not the best way to do this. By centering some text and not others, you make the content hard on the eyes.
Spreadsheets are for skimming over, so making them easy to read is very important.
Fix this by giving your data a strong leftward alignment to text and a rightward alignment to numbers.
