The 4 Hour Body Isn’t Aging Well at All 😬
Tim Ferriss really needs to consider taking it off the shelves
I was in my early 20s when I first read Tim Ferriss’s book The 4-Hour Body. I’ve learned a lot about diet, nutrition, and exercise in the decade-plus that has passed since I first read it.
So, I thought it would be fun to re-read the “subtracting fat” and “gaining muscle” portions of the book that I once thought were so amazing.
Ho…ly… crap!!!
This book is absolutely loaded with ridiculous claims and, at best, misleading information.
Some of it is just relatively harmless sensationalism and exaggeration to make the book stand out in a crowded space, but some things could be flat-out dangerous if taken seriously by the wrong person.
I found a couple of dozen different things that made me roll my eyes that I could mention here, but these are the five I wanted to bring up for now.
· #1 (Truly) Unbelievable Muscle Gain 🤨 💪
· #2 Targeted Fat Loss with Ice Baths 🥶
· #3 Supplement Stack Doubles Fat Loss 💊
· #4 Pretending Calories Don’t Exist on Cheat Days 🍽️
· #5 These 2 Exercises = 6 Packs
