I read this skimming and thought it was your take at first and was ready to shred it (pun not intended). I’m so sick of every fitness expert attacking the calories in and out model simply because it isn’t sexy and doesn’t make for a good info product or supplement for them to sell. All the programs (keto, intermittent fasting, slow carb etc) all come back to just about the same thing: they’re vehicles that lead you to control appetite and restrict calorie intake. The hormone spiking and all that is great, but you won’t lose weight without a calorie deficit. They know this but are hell bent on painting that as a lie just so they can ironically, sell their own thing that is based on the exact concept, just with a marketable package.
